To fully understand the application process, the length it takes to organize your program with regard to your requirements, payments as well as all the other elements that the application procedure entails, please read the following information carefully.
Whether you are taking part in our paid internships in China, or any of our China study abroad programs, volunteering, high school language etc, please fill in the online Application form and then send your CV/Resume to [email protected].
Our program coordinator will set an appointment with you and conduct an interview with you over telephone or Skype especially if you are doing the internships in China program. You will be informed by email of our final assessment concerning your application within 2-3 working days and a formal invitation or acceptance letter to our program and details about how to confirm your place.
If you are successful, you’ll need to confirm your place on our program by proceeding to the first payment of US$300 (broken down into US$100 application fee and US$200 program deposit). We also need you to send us a copy of your passport and the scanned copy of the signed Program Agreement. Once we receive your payment and the required documents, you will have formally joined our program. We will then proceed to your application and make arrangements with your specific requirements immediately.
For Chinese internships applicants, you will get a formal proposal with the available Internship positions within 2 to 3 weeks. If those positions don’t fit your expectations for some reason, GAC will continue to provide you with a few more offers within 2 to 3 additional weeks until you are satisfied. For applicants for other study abroad China programs, an email will be sent to you detailing housing, schedules etc.
Our intern positions are highly competitive, we advise the applicant to secure his/her position as soon as possible. Once you confirmed, you will receive all the details of your Internship and a three-party contract consisting of You, Go Abroad China and the company taking you as an Intern / your language school. Please sign the contract and send it back to us by email. Applicants should complete the balance payment within one week after their confirmation of the arrangement.
Once we receive the full payment, we will send you the required documents for your visa application. You can apply for a visa to enter China at your nearest Chinese embassy or consulate. You will also receive our pre-departure package, which contains all the information you need regarding your upcoming trip including the housing details. Send an email to advise GAC staff of your arrival information including date, time of arrival, flight number, etc so that GAC program coordinator arranges your airport reception. At this point your application is over, and we await your arrival! Those going for other programs such as the Shanghai language school will have their airport pickups arranged too.
